There are now 2 De Vette Mossels along the Garden Route!
“ The only way to really enjoy seafood, is in abundance, sand under the feet, the smell of the ocean in the nostrils – right next to the sea” West Coast belief.
This is what De Vette Mossel Beach Seafood Restaurant believes in. We opened the first one some 9 years ago on an isolated beach at Groot Brak Rivier, near Mossel Bay.
Since October 2011 you can also kick off your shoes at the second De Vette Mossel along the Garden Route - at the watersport paradise of the Garden Route, Pine Lake Marina near Sedgefield. De Vette Mossel @ Pine Lake Marina is on the resort's own beach, Moonlight Beach (The only one on the shores of Swartvlei Lake.) Sip some wine, gaze over the water and indulge in seafood in abundance!
Eat as much as you like – or can! De Vette Mossel (The Fat Mussel) offers much more than perfectly prepared seafood – this is an experience – in unusual and informal surroundings with traditional Cape fishing culture – in true West Coast Style.
Kick off your shoes on a pristine and isolated beach at South African’s favourite holiday town, Mossel Bay in the Garden Route. Sip some wine, gaze over the ocean and indulged in seafood in abundance!
Many thanks to Nic Nortje who took the most photos for this website.
